As an heir to the Father, we have no choice but to thrive in this life, for we are equipped with gifts, talents, wisdom, and His will for us to prosper

Do The Next Thing

We live in a world of rush, overwhelm, and an expectation of everything to get done for everyone instantly. Today’s message highlights a recommendation from Christian author and former missionary Elisabeth Elliot. Elliot is known for “…this advice about how to decide what to do amid a myriad of necessary and useful things: ‘Just do the next thing.’ These simple words are an echo of Jesus', and in this He is our model. He did nothing that wasn't God's perfect will, and He was perfectly content. When we feel harried and stressed, it is often because we are trying to do more than God has asked us to do. God always gives us enough time to do His will.” May we get in the habit of doing and not worrying, for God will direct our thoughts and actions when first turn to Him and give everything to Him.

John 4:34 reads, “My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work."

Like Him, may the work we are directed to do be fulfilling and food for our souls.

Small Straw Scripture: Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand!

With God as our guide, support, and comforter, we have no need for worry or fear.

Youversion Verse of the Day: Psalm 68:5

A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, Is God in his holy habitation.

Ou Father is the ultimate guardian and protector of all of us as His children. He’s our provider, protector, and prophetic prophet leading us along life’s journey.

As an heir to the Father, we have no choice but to thrive in this life, for we are equipped with gifts, talents, wisdom, and His will for us to prosper, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
