The Secret to Contentment

Today’s message gives us two great points to consider about contentment: “Contentment, after all, is an inside job”; and “The secret to contentment comes from understanding that where we are now is exactly where God wants us to be.” Let us never wait to enjoy life, living, and what we have and are experiencing. The moment we don’t take the time to appreciate, is the moment we could risk losing it all. You have been blessed with another day to live—live in it. You have another opportunity to walk—walk in this season.

Philippians 4:12 says, “I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.”

Let us live in each moment with no regrets but with gratefulness knowing He has and will continue to supply all of our needs and our hopes and desires when we stay focused on Thee.

Small Straws Scripture: Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Let us continue on with endurance as we walk in faith. When things feel heavy, let go and let God be the heavy load bearer. Turn to Him and rest in Him who has endured all things and still reigns.

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Even though we may not like all, we must love all, for God is love.
