David gave of psalms to help us sing praises of thanksgiving to God. But this morning’s devotional also shares with us how David understood that He didn’t have to hide or hold back his feelings with God; he could truly take everything to Him and leave it. The writer says, “David lays out an interesting pattern in the psalms. First, he cries out to God in sorrow, complaint, even occasional whining. But invariably, he then shifts to joyful praise…. David didn't try to sound "spiritual." He was genuine with God.Once he had cleared the air, his heart turned to thanksgiving and praise. He'd bring out the instruments, write a song or two, and regain his strength.” There is nothing that we can’t carry to God and release, and there is nothing that we should feel we need to hold onto because God can’t fix it. Whatever your circumstances that may have you feeling out of sorts, give it to God and praise Him in advance for what we know He will do.

Psalm 59:16-17 reads, “But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. ... I sing praise to you...my loving God.”

No matter what we go through in life, we should always find a song of praise for God will always help us in all situations and bring us out better and stronger.

Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.

When we hope in the Lord, there is nothing that we have to worry about for He will be our protection and provider in all things.
