Let us be mindful of our actions, deeds, and words, as well as our patience and endurance, for we are the example that someone recognizes and uses for their faith journey

Alone

There comes a time in everyone’s life when we will experience the loss of a loved one. That experience is something that we don’t look forward to but is inevitable. As in the story with Elijah and Elisha, the writer this morning reminds us, “When we have devoted our lives to loved ones especially those who nurtured us spiritually-we may find it difficult to go on without them. But God is still there, ready to empower us with His love so we can accomplish His purposes.” Let us take the nurturing and love we received and carry on, sharing it with others to come to know Christ better because of the life the individuals lived and wisdom imparted into us and our purpose to share of the goodness of God.

2 Kings 2:14 reads, “He took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, ‘Where is the Lord God of Elijah?’ And when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.

As with Elisha and Elijah, there is always a successor in our lives. Who sees you as a person of faith that has helped them along their Christian journey, and/or who are you focused on to support them along the way?

Small Straws Scripture: Hebrews 10:36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

Let us understand the importance of being patient and also understanding endurance and the importance of waiting well as God works to do His perfect will in His perfect timing for our lives.

Youversion Verse of the Day: 1 Corinthians 13:6

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Let us love all things that are of love and not things that bring harm and divisiveness.

Let us be mindful of our actions, deeds, and words, as well as our patience and endurance, for we are the example that someone recognizes and uses for their faith journey, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
