As you focus on your journey hold fast to your why, and let your how in Christ lead and guide you
Stories
Kundtz shares this morning “Our stories keep us from floating off with the wind: It's unthinkable to not have a past, a history of all that has happened to you, not to remember what you have lived, or to recall the people of your life.” He goes on to say, “Your stories give you a name: What do people call you? How do you refer to yourself? If I know your stories I will absolutely know you, because they are only yours and your name is the only name on them.” Our stories provide many of us with a recollection of our paths along life’s journey. They provide the who, the people who inspired us or challenged us, they provide the what—those things that caused us to move along. Moreover, our stories allow us to reflect on the when of various milestones and mile markers along life’s journey, and of course our stories tell our whys.
The how of it all is captured through Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” This life will continue to come with many unknowns, and walking in faith, but we can rest assured we can get through anything with our ultimate Guide in our loving and protective Father.
Small Straws Scripture: Philippians 3:13-14 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
It is important for us to reflect on life’s journey, but reverting is not an option. We have to let go of the past, using it as motivation through lessons or blessings, and remain forward, focused, and following in faith steps ahead.
Youversion Verse of the Day: John 13:14
If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
May we all strive each day and in every opportunity to be like Christ, humbling ourselves and being of service to others through deeds and grace.
As you focus on your journey hold fast to your why, and let your how in Christ lead and guide you, my friend. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
