Abide in Me

John 5:15 reads, “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing." Our goal in this life is to stay connected to our Father, for as Acts 17:28 says, “For in him we live, and move, and have our being…”. There is nothing we want to do, say, or become without Christ’s hands and blessing upon it. In all that we do, let us be fruitful and multiply as a result of being rooted in and enriched by the love of Christ.

John 15:12 commands us, “This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.”

‭In all things, let us lead with and do everything in love.

Small Straws Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 4:10b-12

But we urge you, brethren, that you increase more and more; that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing.

Let us be private, staying focused on what God is leading us to do, and share as He leads us, when we accomplish what He has commanded us to do. For when we focus on ourselves and not others, we will continually see the blessings upon our lives that we can miss worrying about others.

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

In all that we desire to do, may we seek Christ to determine if it is His will, too.
