Let us always be focused on self love and inner peace that comes from our focus on Christ, who provides what we need and who we need at all times in our lives

Consolation Amid Conflict

Today’s devotional begins, “Sometimes we feel so beaten down by life, battered by outside circumstances over which we have no control. During these unwelcome storms, fear begins to permeate our inner being. Seeing no way out, we may fall into depression and enter into self-preservation mode by withdrawing into ourselves. But in doing so, we cut ourselves off from those who would give us aid and comfort.” There are times in life when we need to isolate ourselves, but we should not in all difficult situations. God always provides what we need in every situation, and sometimes what we need He sends in the form of people, our earth angels, our Tituses. Let us not be resistant to those who genuinely seek to support, comfort, and lift us when we are going T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (trials, hurt, regret, obstacles, uncertainty, guilt, heartbreak), but know that God has moved in them to be of help to me and you.

2 Corinthians 7:5-6 says, “Our bodies had no rest, but we were troubled on every side. Outside were conflicts, inside were fears.Nevertheless God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus.”

May we strive to be Tituses in this life, helping us so that we might reap the same when we are in need.

Small Straws Scripture:

Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

When we are anxious let us seek to pray, and as we have found, when we cannot resolve things alone, He will send Tituses through His people—pastors, counselors and others—to help us, too.

Youversion Verse of the Day: Proverbs 31:30

Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: But a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.

Our reverence for the Lord and inner beauty draw attention more than superficial things of this world.

Let us always be focused on self love and inner peace that comes from our focus on Christ, who provides what we need and who we need at all times in our lives, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
