“I am the LORD your God… Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.” PSALM 81:10

I truly BE-LIeVE that I am carrying on my father’s legacy since his death. Everyone who knew my dad, knows the man could talk! But he only talked about a few topics: sports, carpentry, his family, and his God. Now the latter always became the topic even in the discussion of the others! That man was loud and his mouth was always open telling others about Jesus. Since his passing, I feel my strength to endure comes from that which he instilled in me. I have to be honest, growing up with him and hearing him refer everything in some manner to Jesus would aggravate me, but as he would REmind me, “Just live a little longer, and you’ll understand.”

Well, I have lived a little, going through four of five of the most stressful events in life in only a few months span: separation/divorce, moving, death of my father, and being diagnosed with a medical condition. Some individuals who would have encountered so many challenges at one time may have let go and given up on life, but like my father, I opened up my mouth and began to tell of the goodness of the Lord. I also changed my perspective. I had to not only BE-LIeVE but confess with my mouth that He was able to bring me through, that He could heal my broken heart from death and good could come out of all of it.

So I began to speak life over myself and into others; I changed my perspective. I could not accept the fact that I was going through all of that for pain and not purpose. As a REsult, God began to show me that my latter would be greater and the best is yet to come. I boldly go before Him and ask the desires of my heart knowing He already knows, and I know He will bless me in His timing. I must not limit in my mind what He can do nor what I can do through Him. I shall never be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, for He has done so much in my life. May we all open up and tell of His goodness in boldness and speak in advance of what He will do, and watch Him bless us abundantly in REturn.

Psalm 67

Through trials and triumphs, may we always give God praise, for whatever He takes us to, He will bring us through. Praise confuses the enemy and promotes positivity.

We will encounter some people along life’s JOurneY who will try to get us off our course, and as humans we may want to REact and REspond. However, as 2 Corinthians 10:5 REminds us, “We (must)demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we (must) take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” May we BE still and know that He is God. Our actions through Him will speak louder than words and He will go forth as our vindicator. ‭

Habakkuk 3:18

No matter what we go through, whether up or down, or down and out, may we always REjoice in the Lord for He is the JOY of our salvation and will REstore the JOY when we feel all is lost. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
