Daily Devotional for February 18, 2021

“But you, take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.” (2 Chronicles‬ ‭15:7‬ ‭NRSV‬)

Just last night I saw the memories from a year ago where I was aboard an airplane that experienced engine failure midair. My comment on the post read: “One year ago today—God kept me and continues to have plans for my life.🙏🏽 Wait for it...”. As Osteen says this morning in his devotional, “Don’t let the night seasons convince you that you’ve seen your best days. You wouldn’t be alive unless God had something amazing in front of you”. From separation/divorce, to moving, death of my father, a medical illness, to that near death experience, God kept me T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) it all. Things have truly turned around in my life and I am REaping the harvest, but the most amazing thought is my BEst is still yet to come!

Colossians 3

Life comes with battles and we know we can put on the whole armor of God. However, it is important for us to first and foremost “... clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience....Above all, clothe ourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony” (Colossians‬ ‭3:12, 14‬ ‭NRSV‬‬).

REflection from Living Changed: Spiritual Warfare

As I just spoke about BEing able to put on the whole armor of God, but also clothing ourselves first, as today’s message from “Living Changed: Spiritual Warfare” REminds us, we shall not go into battle alone. The message says, “Warriors don’t charge into battle alone because they recognize they’re stronger together. Similarly, we weren’t meant to engage in spiritual warfare without a community of believers around us”. Thank you for BEing part of my community. Thank you for praying, celebrating, and walking with me along this glorious adventure.

James 1:27

May we BE each other’s keeper, helping when one is helpless and having each other’s back to keep the other from falling. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Thank that troop and those who trailblaze BEfore you and BEside you T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) it all this Thursday, my friend.
