Daily Devotional for February 17, 2021

“After this Job lived one hundred and forty years, and saw his children, and his children's children, four generations. And Job died, old and full of days.” (Job‬ ‭42:16-17‬ ‭NRSV‬‬)

As we continue to wait well on what God has for us, let us not dwell on the night season; for it is just that—a season. Osteen REminds us in the case with Job, “He not only made it through the night season, but God restored double what he’d lost.” Let us keep a positive perspective and focus on the future and lifetime of abundance and prosperity if we keep the faith in Christ. REmember we REceive double for our trouble and beauty for ashes. Your latter will BE greater and your BEst is yet to come, for you ain’t seen nothing yet!

Colossians 2

Hold on to these words as you REmain steadfast: “For though I am absent in body, yet I am with you in spirit, and I rejoice to see your morale and the firmness of your faith in Christ” (Colossians‬ ‭2:5‬ ‭NRSV‬‬). We are never alone, my sister, and as the word continues, “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving” (Colossians‬ ‭2:6-7‬ ‭NRSV‬‬).

REflection from Living Changed: Spiritual Warfare

Prayer is a powerful thing. May we strive to pray without ceasing as we go about our day, keeping us forward, focused, and following in faith (and not fear) and favor. May we welcome Him into our personal and professional lives, in introductions to associates and our circles of friends. As Living Changed: Spiritual Warfare speaks to this morning, let us REmember “Jesus, I know you’re here. And because I know your heart, I can trust that the negative things I’m hearing aren’t from you. I render them powerless in my life and ask you to remind me of the truth.” Let us take captive every thought and keep our minds stayed on Thee and His goodness.

Luke 9:24

Sometimes we have to lose to win, and when we lose our lives for Christ, we join the winningest team. He’s never lost a battle—He never fails. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Wait well this Wednesday and watch Him work, my friend.
