Don’t fear what’s coming to and end

”If people want to brag, let them brag that they understand and know me. Let them brag that I am the Lord, and that I am kind and fair, and that I do things that are right on earth. This kind of bragging pleases me," says the Lord.” Jeremiah 9:24

We serve “A Good Lord” as the title and today’s message convey. The writer says, “Jesus is the Lord. He came to take ou infirmities. He knows what we need, and he knows what we want to do with our lives even better than we know ourselves. Why Because he has planted wholesome desires in our hearts.” Our Father is actually better than good. He knows before we even know what we want and desire for n this life. All He wants from us is for us to know this and believe this, and trust that He will do and provide what’s best for our lives. Let us lean not unto our own understanding, but know He’s making a way to provide and prosper us and not harm us.

Reflection from The Art of Overcoming but Tim Timberlake

Today we begin a new series “The Art of Overcoming” by Tim Timberlake. The introductory message is called “Endings are Beginnings”. The are poses the following: “What if loss and grief aren’t as final as they feel?” He goes on to say, “The more I read the Bible and the longer I follow Jesus, the more I’ve seen this simple truth at work: what we think are endings are usually just beginnings. What we think is loss often turns out to be gain. What should be weakness somehow becomes strength. What was meant for evil results in good. Why? Because that’s how powerful and good God is. He has a way of turning the worst thing that could happen into the best thing that could happen.” What’s key in all of this? How do we view situations? Perspective. May we work to see lessons learned and blessings earned as a result of the more challenging times. Let us remain calm and even at peace knowing sometimes we have to loss to win.
