Daily Devotional for September 24, 2021
Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Proverbs 29:21
I just love everything about today’s message from Joel Osteen, from the title—“Pushed into Our Purpose”—to the scripture from Proverbs 29:21, “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” Yep, I have a new one to add to my favorites. Today’s devotional speaks to how we don’t understand why certain things happen to us, and Osteen says, “Sometimes God will let us be uncomfortable for a dark, difficult period so He can bless us later on.”. As I have BEgun to say, I am living the prayers I once prayed. For a a few years in my life, I prayed for a child, but didn’t give birth for a few years, yet today, my firstborn is thirteen. Also, for years I prayed for peace, prosperity, and to walk in my purpose, and today I’m living just that.
I did, however, have to BEcome uncomfortable and didn’t understand the why of it all, but now I see it was all a part of God’s plan, not mine, for me to go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) for my breakthrough.
Numbers 7
Numbers 7 enforces that with success and succession comes sacrifice.
REflection from I Am: 7 Keys to Unlock Your Future
Today’s message from “I Am: 7 Keys to Unlock Your Future” provides the simplest explanation of our Father and His love for us. “I am loved. Such a simple yet powerful truth. God’s love wraps us in His arms, despite the messes we make, and carries us into the future He has prepared for us.”As the text encourages us, let us declare, “I am loved, so I love without reservation.”
Matthew 6:33
