REmember your calling and He will keep you from falling
Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. Psalm 105:4
Many times we don’t REcognize our own strength BEcause we fail to REmember what God has already equipped us with, and most importantly, He too is our strength—that’s some mighty power! This morning’s message says, “Our natural instinct is to cry out to God in a panic and desperately search for him when we find ourselves in crisis…. God calms our racing and anxious thoughts with truth. He offers us wisdom and direction in the middle of decision making.“ We truly must REmember that there is never a moment in our lives when we should worry or wonder or feel weak, for He is our warrior, the Ultimate one, who’s never lost a battle and our vindicator. Alway trust in Him, depend on Him, and call on Him.
REflection from What To Do When You Don’t Like Your Job
In the final message from “What to do When You Don’t Like Your Job”, the author starts off saying, “Now, I have saved this response for last because I am afraid it is often the first and only response we consider when we feel stuck in a job we don’t love.” That REsponse is “Change your job”. He says, “There are situations in which making a career move is the most God-honoring thing you can do. This is especially true if it is clear that you are in a job that doesn’t match your skillsets and you see no path to achieving mastery of your current craft.” Let us always REmember Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” When the work He has sat out for you is done, and when you can’t change the people around you, change the people around you, taking a bold step in faith.
