Daily Devotional for September 14, 2020
“Hear, Israel: Today you are going into battle against your enemies. Do not be fainthearted or afraid; do not panic or be terrified by them.” Deuteronomy 20:3
I love today’s devotional, for I truly BElieve it is speaking to me. There have BEen a number of devotionals over the course of this year, and specifically REcently that spoke to how things used to BE for me. However, I feel that this one speaks of a new season I am entering into. I have BEen and continue to BE tested, but my strength, understanding, and most importantly, my faith has grown. As a REsult, what would have bothered me in the past that caused me to REact instead of REspond, will no longer get the BEst of me, for I know I’m stronger, wiser, and better. I’m like an eagle now, strengthened to soar in ways I could not BEfore as a REsult of crawling and walking first with the Father. 🙏🏽
Deuteronomy 1
As we continue along this glorious adventure of a JOurneY, may we focus on the fact that we don’t EVER have to BE afraid or worried about what may be ahead, for the Lord our God, who is going before us, will fight for us (Deuteronomy 1:29-30).
Like the woman who washed Jesus’ feet, in man’s eyes, what we do to truly walk by faith may look crazy or may REquire us to go against man’s rules or thinking, but when we truly follow Him, we know it’s worth risking it all for He’s never lost a battle and never failed us. As today’s devotional states from Faithspring, “Faith requires a perspective-shift.” May we like, the sinful woman in the scripture, begin to see our past not as a reason to stay away from God, but as a reason to draw even closer to Him.
Proverbs 3:5
Fear is not a factor, but our trust in the Father is. With all that we are and all that we do, center our hearts around Him who can and will do all in our lives but fail. 💚🙏🏽🦋🌈
Meditate this morning BEfore making moves this Monday, my friend.
