Daily Devotional for July 12, 2021

“Blessed be the Lord God of our fathers, which hath put such a thing as this in the king's heart…

‭‭Ezra‬ ‭7:27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Osteen speaks about David meeting Mephibosheth, and it seemed what he expected of King Saul’s grandson was not what he saw. Expectations like perception are not always what they seem. Let us BE careful not to create preconceived notions about people and opportunities but give everyone and everything the BEnefit of the doubt to BE or BEcome a blessing. As the saying goes, don’t judge a book by its cover; get to know what’s inside and the information it has to offer for yourself.

Genesis 39

As with Joseph in Genesis 39, as much as we strive to do what is right, there will BE those who come against us, but even when falsely accused in situations, let us REmain true to ourselves knowing that the Father knows, the Father is with us, and the Father will take care of us. No matter what may come our way, our lives are in His hands.

REflection from The Harvesting Abundant Life

This morning the devotional by Jewish Voice Ministries asks, “What is abundant life?” The text goes on to say, “How much we enjoy the abundant life God has bestowed on us…is left to us.” There are things in this life that we want—nice house, cars, job, a mate, and even kids, but as the message REminds us, God has what we need, and that is found in the fruit of the Spirit, even if we don’t have those tangible things. But we must plant in order to harvest. Let us BE rooted in Christ, spreading seeds of His goodness through what we do and in our interactions with others, so we REap abundant and sweet REwards.

1 Corinthians 13:1

May our actions in love speak louder than words. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
