Daily Devotional for July 13, 2021

“And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.”

‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭9:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

REstoration is a part of our destiny, and I BElieve that I’m in my season now. No matter what we may go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak), we don’t have to worry, for God is a god of REstoration. The story of Mephibosheth again this morning from Osteen, REminds me of Psalm 37:25, "I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread." Osteen shows us through Mephibosheth that as long as we focus on living right and BEing obedient to God, we will experience REstoration and lack nothing. REstoration is upon us, and I know I’m experiencing it for myself. Everything God Ordains, and I see now that I had to go through for my breakthrough and to allow God to use me as a present day Mephibosheth to share my story through my debut book, Restore The Joy: A Transformation Through Confirmation. Didn’t REalize it then but now I see the purpose for my pain and the timing of completion.

Genesis 40

Confirmation. Genesis 40 also speaks about REstoration this morning, as Joseph interprets the dream of Pharaoh’s chief butler. Anxious to understand more about Joseph and his gift of interpretation, I came upon a site with the message, “17 Things Joseph’s Life Tells You About Your Dream And Purpose”. They are all in alignment with what I have experienced as I’ve gone T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) to get to my breakthrough. But not just any breakthrough—the purpose God had (and has) for my life. They are:

1. God will give you a vision/dream for your future—if you let him.

2. We should be cautious when sharing our dreams.

3. Doing the right thing won’t make everyone like you

4. The first steps toward fulfilling your dream may not be what you expect

5. No one can stop your destiny

6. God’s purpose will prevail in spite of your pain

7. God usually brings us to a place where we need to depend on him

8. We will need to be trained for our purpose

9. God will give us grace wherever we are

10. Our faithfulness to God will be thoroughly tested

11. Obedience does not always produce the expected visible results

12. The key to our promotion is within us

13. God will arrange for people to lead us to our promise

14. Sometimes it may seem like all is lost

15. Perseverance over time will bring your dream to fulfillment

16. God will always fulfill his promise and much more

17. God always sees the bigger picture

REflection from Harvesting Abundant Life

…and three’s a charm. The message from “Harvesting The Abundant Life” also speaks about REstoration this morning. It says, “Several things come to mind when we think about what and how do we sow toward harvesting the bountiful, satisfying life God has made available to us: God’s Word, worship, gratitude, prayer and discipline.” It then goes further to say, “All Scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for restoration, …(2 Timothy 3:16). You cannot tell God did not ordain all of this in His perfect timing for our REading! It goes further to say, “The apostle Paul urges us to not follow after the things of this world or conform to the belief they can satisfy us. He exhorts us to renew our minds and experience transformation (Romans 12:2).” Now I’m just going to stop right there! What’s the name of my book?!!! (in case you forgot “Restore The Joy: A Transformation Through Confirmation). I’m just going to stop right there. If I can’t say a word, I’ll just wave my hand.

Psalm 139:23

Lord, conduct a search and seizure to find us guilty of loving you and wanting to do your will. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Try Him and Trust Him this Tuesday, my friend.
