“After forty years had passed, an angel appeared to Moses in the flames of a burning bush in the desert near Mount Sinai.” Acts 7:30
The following question was posed in the message “The Burning Bush”. “Do you ever feel like your life is in a holding pattern? Like your something big must be lurking around the next corner. You may feel like your life is being wasted while you wait for your own destiny.” I know I have, and Moses did too. But let us hold into the completion of his story. Like him, not matter the waiting period, God has something we can never imagine in store for our lives. Get ready for you long awaited surprise. Your best is yet to come.
Reflection from Reset: A 7-Day Plan for Building Positive Habits, by Debra Fileta
Today we begin “Reset: A 7-Day Plan for Building Positive Habits, by Debra Fileta. The first message in the series is titled “New Year, New You?” and speaks about how each year many of us resolve to make changes in our lives. But like Paul in Romans 7:15 when he says, “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do”, the writer says, “When we don’t understand why we do what we do, we’ll find ourselves doing the same things again and again. Understanding why we do what do, and learning to dig a little deeper, is paramount to changing our behavior.” Reflection is good for our lives to remind us of what we have done and what we can continue to do that catapults us forward. However, reflection also helps us analyze our why to keep us from reverting to what has not been good for us.
