Give, but don’t give up or give out

“Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head." Luke 9:58

Today’s message from “Daily Strength for Women” is titled “Perfect Pillow”. Luke 9:58 is highlighted and says, “Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head." The writer speaks about how many options of pillows we have to choose from if we so desire. As written, “This life of work and toil, full of unrest and hardship, will never be our forever home. We are passing through, and there is something much better ahead.” Let us work and even rest, knowing that, with all of these options in life from pillows to opportunities, they don’t really matter, for this life is only temporary. Live, work, and rest in Christ.

Reflection from What Are You Waiting For

Today it is shared “What Not To Do In The Waiting” as we continue the series“What Are You Waiting For”. As we wait, we are reminded of Proverbs 3:5-6, which cautions us about relying on ourselves, but trusting in the Father and His will, way, and timing. Through today’s devotional we are encouraged to wait on God’s timing, not settle for what’s here now instead of waiting for what’s best later, and don’t take easy way out and quit. Let us be patient in the wait as it is a preparation period for us to receive what God knows is best for our lives.

1 Peter 4:10
