Wait well in contentment
“God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7”
Let us always remember that God has given us a “Spirit of Power” as emphasized in today’s devotional. As we enter into another week of work, let us remember “We are given a spirit of power, love, and self-control, so we need not fear when God calls us to a specific work. We can rely on him to help us stand and do exactly what he wants us to.” Let us stand up and stand firm in the word and work we are called to do and stay true.
Reflection from What Are You Waiting For
Today’s message from “What Are You Waiting For” answers the question “What Makes The Waiting So Hard?” There are four points highlighted: 1) Unrealistic expectations; 2) Unnoticed blessings; 3)Unfair comparisons; and 4) Unsurrendered desires. May we strive to be thankful for what we have accomplished and not focus on what more there is to do. May we take time to reflect on what we have been blessed with and now living prayers once prayed. Let us not look to others as our guide to where God is taking us along our JOurneY; looks can be deceiving and another’s path is not meant for us. Finally, let us let go of what we want and embrace what God desires for us in this life. Wait well with contentment.
