Daily Devotional for August 23, 2020

“Then David got up from the ground. After he had washed, put on lotions and changed his clothes, he went into the house of the Lord and worshiped.” ‭‭ 2 Samuel‬ ‭12:20‬ ‭

This morning, I thought about the comforting words of one of my dear sisters and soror who was with me many days during my most challenging time. She always REminded me to “feel what you need to feel but don’t stay in it.” We are of flesh and will have some heartache and some pain; in this life we will shed some tears—it’s expected. We can REst assured, however, that God is there to see us through. He can and will wipe away our tears and love the hurt away.

Job 33

May we truly learn to BE still and know that He is God. Sometimes we think we do not hear our Father speaking to us, yet He communicates to us through many forms. May we BE open to what He has to say and do for us through whatever means He deems necessary for us to REceive.

May we always humble ourselves and know that all that we are, all that we have, and all we will BEcome is a REsult of our Father and His, love, mercy, and blessings upon our lives. May we never forget where all of our blessings come from. Don’t forget to give honor where honor is due.

Proverbs 15:1

May we BE still and quiet to listen for His voice or sign. May we also avoid REacting BEcause of how we feel but seek to REspond BEcause that’s what we should do. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

The SON is shining for us this Sunday, my friend.
