Grace—It’s Still Amazing

This month I have been very intentional about releasing things that have caused me to feel depressed during this month over the past few years, because there are so many other things that bring so much JOY. Like today, it’s my oldest child’s 17th birthday. Before the month started, I prayed that I would have a great month, letting go of things that had me bound, as today’s message speaks to, letting go of grudges and offenses. The writer reminds us, “Holding on to offenses, remembering the incident, and experiencing those feelings over and over again can't hurt the person who hurt you—it only hurts you. The greatest gift you can give yourself is to forgive the offender. It's hard to let go, but think of it as not letting go but giving it up— giving it to God.” As I reflect this morning, I know I truly let go and gave this month and things I was harboring to God, for it has been a restorative process. a time of revival, and like today, full of celebrations.

Psalm 51:10 says, “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”

Whenever we need a reset, an opportunity to begin again, we only have to ask, and He will renew me and you.

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said: I will never leave you nor forsake you.

Let us be grateful for what we have been gifted, for He has and always will provide for us, never begging for what is not His will.

Who is wise and understanding among you? Show by your good life that your works are done with gentleness born of wisdom.

May our actions prove to be more of an example of who we are and are called to be then the mere words and knowledge that we hold.
