Healing is found in revealing and focusing in on the Spirit who dwells in us and speaks to us
This Is Your Body Talking
Kundtz this morning shares, “A sickness-induced Stopover is the body's way of saying, ‘If you're not going to stop yourself, I will have to force you to stop.’” He continues saying, “Our bodies speak to us in many different ways. Learning to read your body's language before you become sick is an important result of the cumulative effects of Stopping…. Stopping encourages you to ask body questions.” I learned the importance of stopping and listening to my body after ignoring my body and experiencing major muscle spasms. I had allowed myself to be so consumed with work to avoid life, that I know God forced me to have to stop as a result of the debilitating pain and discomfort. That experience was eye opening, because inside I knew what caused it, but I continued in avoidance. I began to share with people that God will give us subtle nudges, but sometimes He has to gut punch us. As my pastor says during his sermons, “Are you listening?”
God has given us a new day with new beginnings, new opportunities, and new blessings this day. Take time in the morning to analyze how you feel—mentally, physically, emotionally, financially—all of the “ly’s”. Then, do something about it. As my life coach shared with me, you cannot heal until you reveal. Even if you only acknowledge it for yourself, don’t ignore it but do something about what you feel for you. Yesterday I stopped, and I took a road trip to visit my sister. This morning I was awaken after a great night’s sleep. Now I am taking into account what I feel physically in my knees and my lower back. I know I have been carrying a lot, and change is necessary. What do you feel this day? What do you need to do for you?
Ephesians 4:17-24 reads, “Now this I affirm and insist on in the Lord: you must no longer live as the Gentiles live, in the futility of their minds. They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of their ignorance and hardness of heart. They have lost all sensitivity and have abandoned themselves to licentiousness, greedy to practice every kind of impurity. That is not the way you learned Christ! For surely you have heard about him and were taught in him, as truth is in Jesus. You were taught to put away your former way of life, your old self, corrupt and deluded by its lusts, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to clothe yourselves with the new self, created according to the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.”
We sometimes become consumed with the ways of the world and unintentionally put aside or ignore what the spirit is telling us. Let us listen to our bodies, working towards renewal, for we were created in His image for a purpose and not to be neglected.
Small Straw Structure: Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Let us stay present in today for it is a gift. Take care of you and what God is telling you this day.
Youversion Verse of the Day: 2 Corinthians 3:17
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
Free yourself of whatever you are carrying in communion with Christ. He already knows and is only waiting for us to share and hear what He has to help us to be who He desires for us to be. Rest, restoration, and renewal are found in Him.
Healing is found in revealing and focusing in on the Spirit who dwells in us and speaks to us, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
