We are guarded by God

“Take control of what I say, O Lord, and guard my lips.” Psalm 14:13

BEcause of hurtful words once spoken to me, I work to BE careful of what I say to others. As grandma and some of our mommas say, “If you ain’t got nothing good to say, don’t say anything at all!” As today’s message says, “Guard It”; we must guard our mouths and our words. Today’s devotional says, “Your mouth can bring harm but it can also bring an incredible amount of good, so be encouraged to bless others through your words.” The associated scripture comes from Psalm 14:13 and REads, “Take control of what I say, O Lord, and guard my lips.” BE careful of the words you speak for one day you may have to eat them.

Luke 19

We may not always walk a straight and narrow path, but in faith we know as written in Luke 19:10, “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

REflection from Anxious for Nothing by Max Lucado

This morning we are encouraged by Max Lucado to “Let Your Gentleness Be Evident to All”. He says, “Unchecked anxiety can unleash an Enola Gay (drop a bomb) of angry outbursts, rash accusations, and fiery retaliations against those in your path who are unfortunate to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. How many people have been wounded as a result of such unbridled stress? On the other hand, how many disasters have been averted because one person decided to be calm?” As we’ve already discussed this morning, we must BE careful of the words we speak, and, we must know that the Father is always with us and don’t have to worry about the unknown. Our Father is always with us and always in control, even when we are not or find it hard to BE. We are encouraged to REmember the composure Paul refers to when he states, “Let your gentleness be evident to all” in Philippians 4:5. We can always REmain cool, calm, and collected in Christ as He directs our life.

Galatians 5:16

Let us BE Spirit fed and Spirit led in life. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

We are guarded by God, my friend.
