No need for despair BEcause the Father truly cares
A person finds joy in giving an apt reply—and how good is a timely word! Proverbs 15:24
Today’s message from “Daily Strength for Women” speaks to BEing “Well Timed”. A passage says, “An appropriate response to someone doesn't have to be quick, its just good if it's timely. The next time you find yourself lost for words, give yourself time to think and pray about a response.” This process has helped me so much, especially with difficulty REsponding to difficult situations. If a REsponse isn’t the REsult of a question that needs an immediate REsponse, I’ve learned to BE still and REspond instead of REact. REactions are based off of emotion, but REsponses give us time to truly process, pray and proceed. Words are powerful, therefore let us BE careful and mindful of what we speak and ensure our REsponses of what we, too, would want to REceive.
REflection from Seen: Healing Despair and Anxiety Through Connection
“When in Despair” is the focus of today’s message from “Seen: Healing Despair and Anxiety Through Connection”. The text says, “Have you ever thought about why we are so afraid of silence in our culture today? Why we are afraid of stillness? Perhaps there are some feelings we’ve been avoiding. Perhaps it’s worry about the future that we hide away and keep in the deepest part of our hearts.” As I have learned, we cannot heal until we REveal. There may BE things we are carrying inside that keeps our minds worried and weighed down. May we work to seek connection to RElease with someone who will hear, for the writer says, “When we help others feel seen, we can help influence healing.” Feel what you need to feel, but know those who will hear you and help you to heal and BE whole.
Ephesians 1:17
