[Jacob] loved Rachel more than Leah. Genesis 29:30 NKJV
Osteen continues today with the discussion of secret frustrations, dark places we all have. Yet, if God doesn’t do anything else, in Osteen’s words, “I’m at peace with who I am.” In this moment in my life that is truly how I feel. I have died inside and He has REstored me. I have BEen hurt, and He has healed me. I was of the world and He saved me.
Hosea 12
Let us REmember that He has been the Lord our God ever since the land of Egypt; we know no God but Him, and besides Him there is no savior (Hosea 13:4 NRSV).
REflection from Conversations in a Cave
As I REad today’s message by T. D. Jakes I thought of how a dear friend always encourages me to feel what I need to feel, but don’t stay in it. In today’s message, Jakes speaks to how many of us, like Elijah, this last year or so have been so busy. “Then, at a moment of vulnerability, you’ve found yourself despaired of life. It took so much energy to get where you are that you never had time to rest and you’re tired. You had to overcome obstacles and even encourage yourself to get to this place. You have run, trying to make it work, and now you crash, exhausted, and find yourself in a cave!” Yet, we have learned that isolation is important, BEcause as Jakes REminds us, “It is in that isolation that God begins to deal with us.”
However, we must BE careful in isolation, for as Jakes cautions us, isolation can BE difficult, and impact us in physiological ways. Yet in isolation we have no distractions and can BE one-on-one with the Father. He knows our name and He knows our pain. We cannot heal if we don’t REveal. In times of isolation, let us allow ourselves to BE REmoved from distractions and BE REnewed in Christ.
Ephesians 2:10
Let us no longer deny who He has created us to BE for it is our destiny. No more denying your purpose in life, but pursue the passion placed in you by Christ, 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Step in sync with the Savior this Saturday, my friend.
