Imagine each day all the wonders yet to come your way
“I am a worm and not a man, scorned by mankind and despised by the people. Psalm 22:6
No matter what you go through, remember He was “Crucified for You”. In this life there have been and will be times we don’t understand why we may be talked about and mistreated when we are trying to do right and help others. Today’s message says, “Be encouraged if you are facing challenges today that while people may reject you for no good reason, you can be victorious.” Victory comes with scrutiny but God will provide security. Lean and depend on Him, and lead in love.
Reflection from Be Still: A Simple Guide to Quiet Times
This morning we are encouraged to “Learn to Wonder”. Are you aware of your surroundings and circumstances? Have you always? As with Jacob and his encounter with God in Genesis 28:20-17, “Surely God is in this place, and I was not aware of it.” God is our ever present help, He’s omnipresent, and therefore, as He did with creation, we must use our imagination—our ability to wonder—to see Him in everything. Today’s devotional says, “Our imagination, our ability to wonder and taking the time to reflect on what we see, and notice, will increase our awareness of God in everyday life.” It goes on to say, “The word imagination comes from the verb imaginari ‘picture to oneself’. It can help if you picture yourself as part of God’s greater story.” Take time to reflect on your life and the glorious adventure you have experienced with Christ. Even when situations arose and you were blinded by what you were going T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) at the time, but can now see what He was actually working out for You. Now, with that, consider all that is still in store for you—imagine all the possibilities that He has yet to work for your good!
