Meditate to make it through

How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can't even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!” Psalm 139:17-18

Here we are with another work week upon us. We had the weekend to work to take a break, but as today’s devotional is titled from “Daily Strength for Women”, since we have awaken today, many of us have had “Unnumbered Thoughts”. Those thoughts aren’t necessarily about ourselves in particular, but all the things we have to do today or this week. From just a few moments, some of us don’t even feel we rested, as the message today says unfortunately, “Minds take up the gerbil wheel of neverending tasks. Weariness sets in before the day begins.” But let us fret not or become overwhelmed, for Psalm 139:17-18 speaks about our Father and His thoughts about us. It reads, “How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can't even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!” No matter what we have to work to manage, God’s love for us overpowers all things. Yes, we may have a lot to do, but God has more love and thoughts of us to help us through.

Reflection from Be Still: A Simple Guide to Quiet Time

Today’s message from “Be Still: A Simple Guide to Quiet Time” speaks to “Be Still: The Power of Scripture”. The message begins with the reminder, “The power of the Bible is extraordinary: a light for our feet: a guide on our path”(Ps 119:105), and then goes on to say, “There are verses that we should have to help us… verses that we have memorized will sustain and strengthen us throughout life.” We are also encouraged through the message to meditate on the Bible, thinking about scripture and focusing on all that it has to provide us. All that we need is found in the Word. May we work to focus on those scriptures that we have set to memory in our hearts, and work to study more to keep us day in and day out.

Psalms 34:4-5

Let us always seek the Lord who will remove all of our fears with comfort, and all of our shame when we call on His name.🙏🏽💚🦋👀

Meditate to make it through, my friend.
