You are never alone; Christ is always with you
“Let the peace that Christ gives control your thinking, because you were all called together in one body to have peace. Always be thankful.” Colossians 3:15
Today’s message “No Island” starts off with scripture from Colossians 3:15 which says, “Let the peace that Christ gives control your thinking, because you were all called together in one body to have peace. Always be thankful.” In Christ, we can find peace from earthly things that cause us to be in pieces. Today’s messages reminds us we are not alone along this JOurneY. “It seems to be that just the right person may come along and alter our point of view to the better. The whispers of a friend to soothe our hearts, the inspiration of a message, the encouragement of a teammate: these all are building blocks of unity and opportunities to grow and share peace.” Christ gives us peace and uses those around us to share it and receive it. Let us be open to receive from those people He allows in our lives to intercede.
Reflection from Be Still: A Simple Guide to Quiet Times by Brian Heasley
Today we begin “Be Still: A Simple Guide to Quiet Times” by Brian Heasley. The title for today’s message, “Be Still: Where is Your Garden?” reminds us of the importance of carving out time with Christ, regardless of the time spent. Heasley says, “There is this wonderful phrase in Psalms 46:10 that says ‘Be still and know that I am God’. It’s an invitation to stillness and knowledge of God that has echoed down throughout history.“ He goes on to say, “Quiet times are about encountering God. This word encounter means to ‘meet with'. Intentionality is key. The Bible began with a regular intentional encounter in a specific place at a specific time.” When and where does your intentional encounter take place? We should always find time to still away, and wait in quiet contemplation to hear and engage with our Father and His word. Make this an intentional part of your day—and continually throughout.

No words ever have to be spoken. Our Father intercedes on our behalf for He is in tune with everything about us. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
