Daily Devotional for June 17, 2021

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life… James 1:12

Everything God ordains! Just yesterday morning I spoke of Osteen’s sermon that I heard on the radio where he said trouble is transportation, and this morning’s message highlights that same phrase! The scripture associated with today’s message highlights James 1:12, which says, “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life…”. Osteen REminds us today “You wouldn’t be who you are today without all the things you’ve been through.” You have gone T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak), might BE going T.H.R.O.U.G.H., and will go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. but REmember it’s for your next breakthrough.

Genesis 14

REmember, you have to go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. for your breakthrough; no one else can or will. Therefore, like Abram in Genesis 14:23, don’t allow others to take the glory for your story. “… Accept nothing belonging to another, not even a thread or the strap of a sandal, so that they will never be able to say, they were the reason (for your outcome).

REflection from All Things Are Possible

I am truly enJOYing the devotionals by Joyce Meyer. Today’s aligns with my daily mantra. Each day and even throughout the day, I REmind myself to live in the moment with no REgrets. This morning, Meyer speaks about faith saying, “Hebrews 11:1 says ‘Now faith…’ Faith is now; it’s always working in the present. It’s not ‘I’m going to believe,’ but ‘I believe!’ I want to encourage you to believe that whatever God has called you to do, He has given you the gifts and ability to do it, AND He’s given you the faith to do it!”(see Romans 12:3.) Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not promised. Live now—faith it now. Stop putting off the spirit that dwells within you. Faith forward this day and each day.

Matthew 6:25

Worry ends where faith BEgins. Faith is now—no more worrying.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

No timidity with Thee this Thursday, my friend.
