Daily Devotional for May 11, 2021

Jesus knew that the Father had given him authority over everything and that he had come from God and would return to God. John 13:3 NLT

This morning Osteen speaks about how Jesus knew Judas was going to betray Him, but He didn’t try to stop him. He then goes to say, “Too often we fight what doesn’t go our way; we get upset and become bitter.” I’m guilty of even trying to fix what was meant to BE broken. For many years I didn’t want to accept that things weren’t right in my marriage. I ignored hurt and pain. I thought, “Well, I’m not BEing physically abused so I guess I just have to deal with it.” All the while I was not giving matters to the Father. I was trying to work things out instead of letting Him work things for my good. However, once I let go and let God, I REalized, it had to happen. This opposition was a part of His plan for my life. I had to go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) for my breakthrough. Without it all—the tests, there would BE no testimonies. I’m grateful for my trials for they have strengthened me and my faith.

Acts 5

Let us REmain steadfast as with Peter and the apostles in Acts and follow God’s word and ways for our lives. Peter and the apostles answered, “It’s necessary to obey God rather than men.... If something is merely human, it will fall apart, but if it is of God, there is nothing you can do about it—and you better not be found fighting against God!” (Acts‬ ‭5:29 and 39).

REflection from The Confident Woman Devotional

I have been awaiting to introduce my book to the world, and I BElieve today’s devotional has given me the green light. This morning Joyce Meyers speaks about “Your Heart Desires.” I am a witness, like many, for years I was under a lot of stress, doing things I felt I was supposed to do to please others or for their BEnefit, while not serving my Father and doing what I needed to do for me. It took years of hurt and pain for me to evaluate my life and REalize what Meyers highlighted in her message this morning. “Your priority is not to keep everyone else in your life happy by doing all the things they expect; it is to live a life that is pleasing to God and one that you can enjoy.”

I was ignoring God and as a REsult I was not enJOYing life. Our Father did not create us to live in misery. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control...”, as written in Galatians 5:22-23. We must live in faith and not fear. Know that worry ends where faith BEgins. Today is your day—take a leap in faith into the fullness of you destiny and your heart’s desire to live the life Christ has for you.

Psalms 19:7

There is no confusion with Christ about which way we should go in this life, for “The revelation of GOD is whole and pulls our lives together. The signposts of GOD are clear and point out the right road. The life-maps of GOD are right, showing the way to joy. The directions of GOD are plain and easy on the eyes.” Trust His will and His way for your life. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Try Him without trepidation this Tuesday, my friend.
