Daily Devotional for May 12, 2021
And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. 2 Timothy 2:24
The scripture associated with today’s message from Joel Osteen says, “And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful” (2 Timothy 2:24). I have truly learned that in this life, even when you strive to do right, someone is going to work to find something wrong. However, Osteen helps us see today that we have to keep the right perspective. Even the negative things that the enemy tries to focus on can work for our good. As those come against us, they actually help us to REmain focused on Thee by keeping us in prayer and on our knees.
Acts 6
Let us REmain true and faithful each day, sticking to our assigned tasks of prayer and speaking God’s Word (Acts 6:1-4 MSG).
REflection from The Confident Woman Devotional
Joyce Meyer REminds us that our Father is always on time in our lives. She says, "’Due season’ is God's season, not ours. We are in a hurry, God isn't...God is never late.” As we go along life’s JOurneY, may our patience grow, knowing that our Father’s timing is perfect. He has a plan for us to prosper and not to harm us, if we wait well.
Let us pray Meyer’s prayer as we are still knowing He is God: “Lord, thank You for Your patience with me. I want everything now, but You are building my life with eternity in mind. I don't understand everything You're doing, but I trust You. Amen.”
Luke 6:45
We grow what we know, and REap what we sow. May it all be fruit of the Spirit, produced out of love for the betterment of ourselves and others. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
