Daily Devotional for May 13, 2021
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17
God is always working to strengthen us. As with physical fitness, strength comes with REsistance. Osteen says this morning, “That opposition is making you stronger.... Without Goliath, you won’t take your throne; without Judas, you won’t reach your destiny; without the naysayers, you won’t become all you were created to be.“ In the words of Frederick Douglass, “If there is no struggle, there is no progress.”
Acts 7
In this life, like Moses, we may initially BE REjected by some. Acts 7:35-39 says, “This is the same Moses whom they earlier rejected, saying, ‘Who put you in charge of us?’ This is the Moses that God, using the angel flaming in the burning bush, sent back as ruler and redeemer. He led them out of their slavery. He did wonderful things, setting up God-signs all through Egypt, down at the Red Sea, and out in the wilderness for forty years. This is the Moses who said to his congregation, ‘God will raise up a prophet just like me from your descendants.’” As with Moses, our Father will still use us to help those who once REjected us.
REflection from The Confident Woman Devotional
We all have a purpose on this life, but we all also have things to overcome, as highlighted this morning by Joyce Meyer. She states, “I have heard that there are two types of people in the world: the ones who wait for something to happen and the ones who make something happen.” May we work to BE the ones who make something happen, BEing led not by our little ego, but with our big E.G.O (everything God ordains).
John 14:27
There is nothing like the peace of God. It surpasses all understanding and is something like none other. BE open to REceive it. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Trust in Thee through trial to triumph this Thursday.
