We are warriors not worriers who win each day with Christ.
“The Lord will go forth like a warrior, He will stir up His zeal. Isaiah 42:13
This morning Osteen speaks about us fighting to BE champions just like Christ. Isaiah 42:13 is lifted up in today’s devotional and says, “The Lord will go forth like a warrior, He will stir up His zeal….” Osteen adds context by saying, “A warrior doesn’t complain about opposition; a warrior loves a good fight. It fires him up.” I am always encouraging us to consider our perspective about what we go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak), and this perspective provided by Osteen is one we should work to REmember when we encounter battles from now on. We are the Lord’s children, and like Him, we must REmember that we, too, are warriors. So, let us not become cowardly, but know we are equipped with the full armor of God, BEcause He’s never lost a battle and never will.
2 Samuel 4
Let us not lose courage like Saul in 2 Samuel 4:1 when he lost his son, for sometimes we have to lose to win. Perspective REminds us that there is purpose in our pain, and with each situation there is a blessing and/or lesson.
REflection from Promises for Your Everyday Life
I kinda giggled this morning after REading the title of Joyce Meyer’s message, “Receiving the Holy Spirit”. We know in the black church people talk about “catching the Holy Spirit”, where people are overcome and start to shout. Well, as I’ve told people, I’m not a shouter, but I do cry when I BEcome full. Joyce Meyer speaks to REceiving the Holy Spirit this morning saying, “Many Christians follow all the ‘right’ rules, but wonder: ‘Is this all there is?’ …. temporary happiness but not deep, satisfying joy?” She goes on to say, “When you spend time with God daily and receive His Holy Spirit, you're not signing up for a scary, weird experience. You are simply receiving His power to be more like Jesus and His wisdom to walk through ordinary events.” She then encourages us to not be afraid of new things, just make sure they are biblical.
Have you taken tim to study the Bible? There are so many stories and situations that many of us are unaware of, BEcause we depend on others to tell us the stories and only hearing their perspective. I encourage you, study to show thyself approved and develop a personal RElationship with the Father so you can hear Him speak clearly to you for all the plans and JOY He has for you. Like me, you might be pleasantly surprised of all the wonders the Bible entails.
1 Samuel 2:2
There is none other so holy nor a foundation so solid like our God. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
