Daily Devotional for August 12, 2020

“…to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61:2-3‬

I love the wording and the message from today’s devotional by Joel Osteen. “You may have a reason to feel sorry for yourself, but you don’t have a right. God promised to give you beauty for those ashes. He said He would pay you back double for the wrongs, but you have to do your part.” We know that faith without works is dead! Whether we’re working towards our good or if we are going T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, REgrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak). As a dear friend’s message continues to REsonate with me: “Feel what you need to feel but don’t stay in it.” Take the time to allow yourself to feel and process, but then you must RElease and allow Him to Romans 8:28 that thang! Let Him work the situation for your good. You’ll look back and say the enemy thought He had me but my Father turned it and worked it for my good.

Job 22

I love the words in Job this morning. “Submit to God and be at peace with him; in this way prosperity will come to you...If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored...” (Job‬ ‭22:21, 23) He can do all things but fail! So if we let go and let God no weapon formed shall prosper, He will give us a peace that surpasses all understanding, and all we do is win no matter what!

No one nor nothing can compare to God. Let us not BE focused on man in comparison as we walk daily, but let us build our hopes on things eternal and look up, striving to BE more like Christ.

Matthew 6:34

Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not promised, yet we have BEen give this day. May we live in the moment with no REgrets. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
