Let us always seek to hear, rest, and abide in our Father and His word

Sing, Dolly! Sing!

This morning Kundtz shares about country singer and performer, Dolly Parton, take a rest from the limelight. Kundtz writes, “…what I call a Grinding Halt…. she withdrew to her mountain cabin for a long, quiet time…. For Parton, her Grinding Halt was also creative time…. In her three-month Grinding Halt—a long one by any standard- she wrote thirty-seven songs.” It is important in life to listen to our inner voices. We hear messages associated with our mind, body, and spirit. Taking time to still away, reflect, be, listen, and hear are critical to our productivity and purpose in life.

Psalm 23:1-3 reminds us, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.” All that we need is found in Christ. He encourages us to rest, embrace stillness, so that He can restore us and continue along the path He intends for us.

Small Straws Scripture: Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Let us never deny what we hear and sense our Father saying and placing in us, for all He desires is for us to be at peace and prosperous in this life.

Youversion Verse of the Day: Matthew 25:40

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Let us remember what we do (or don’t do) is what we do or don’t for Christ.

Let us always seek to hear, rest, and abide in our Father and His word, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
