We never have to worry about anything for our Father will provide everything
Unwanted Grace
I have said to people that God gives us subtle nudges to warn us of things we ignore, and then sometimes He has to gut punch us to get our attention. Today’s message from Kundtz speaks to this. He speaks about the colonel’s injury from an Andre Dubus short story, "The Colonel’s Wife” saying, “His long, forced time-out was unwanted, perhaps like one you or someone close to you has experienced from an illness or accident. Such an event keeps you still, unable to go about life as usual; it is a forced quietude.” There comes times when we have to finally get alone with ourselves and deal with the past to learn to appreciate and live in the current. We have had to go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (trials, hurt, regret, obstacles, uncertainty, guilt, and heartbreak) to live in the moment now, appreciating the lessons and blessings that came from the past experiences. Let us not take ourselves for granted or those who have been by our sides. Recognize and verbalize your appreciation and admiration for yourself and others.
One of my favorite verses came to mind with this message. Psalms 46:10-11 says, “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.” There are times we have to pause—selah. In the pause, process and pray, and listen to the Lord and what He has to say.
Small Straw Scripture: Isaiah 45:2-3
I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, who call you by your name, am the God of Israel.
Our Father will provide us with all we need along our journey. Our responsibility is to rely on Him, trusting in His will and His way.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Matthew 25:35-36
For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Let us all seek opportunities to serve the less fortunate every opportunity we have, for with each of our needs, God has done the same for you and me.
We never have to worry about anything for our Father will provide everything, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
