Let us remain focused on how richly blessed we are as children in Christ, for our Father provides all that we need and so much more that we unintentionally take for granted
Unexpected Treasures
It is important for us to remember how rich we are in Christ; not specifically from a financial perspective, but all that He provides for our lives, and specifically those things we take for granted. Today’s message provides a prayer that resonated with me. It said, “Giver of all good things, quench my insatiable thirst for the comfort money provides. Teach me that my security is in You alone. When I fret about money, remind me that Your beloved Son was born on a bale of hay in a barn. Amen.” Perspective is critical for all of us, and truly during these times in our economy. May we remember that the greatest financial blessing is being a child of the Most High God, for He is able to supply all our needs, and even do exceedingly and abundantly more than we can ask or think.
Hebrews 13:5 reads, “Don't fall in love with money. Be satisfied with what you have.”
Always remember that our Father is rich with houses and land, and we are His heirs. He is our provider.
Small Straws Scripture: Psalm 46:1-4
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
Even when a war is raging within our lives or in this world, we can always seek safety and strength from our sovereign God who can do all things but fail.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Acts 20:35
“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
Let us remember that regardless of what we may possess financially, we always have something to give to others as Christians. Let us be good stewards of not just our treasures, but of our time, talents, and most importantly the love of Christ.
Let us remain focused on how richly blessed we are as children in Christ, for our Father provides all that we need and so much more that we unintentionally take for granted, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
