Caring for the Temple

Today’s message reminds us, “Our bodies are amazing gifts from God…. Just as we are to be good stewards of our resources of time and money, we should also be good stewards of our bodies. God's Word calls them temples.” A temple, comparable to our places of worship; that’s what God compares our bodies to. I know how I feel when I enter my church, and how I revere at the sanctuary. In the same manner, I know I have not treated my body the same, and it is God-made not (wo)man made. However, I have been focused on it on and off, but pray to be more intentional about my own, and others’ too in all that I do.

1 Corinthians 6:20 says, “Honor God with your body”. May He be pleased with how we present and adorn ourselves, and care for ourselves through rest, movement, and nutrition. Let us always be aware of our temple care.

And the Lord, He is the one who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.

All we have to do is trust and believe, and our Father will lead, guide, protect and back each one of us each day of our lives.
