Let us BE sure of who we are and Whose we are, for we are chosen
“Know that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant for himself, the Lord hears when I call to him.” Psalm 4:3
For so long I have downplayed roles I have played and things I have accomplished, not wanting to come off as arrogant or cocky. However, along my faith JOurneY, God has continuously shown me that that is not who I am nor have I ever BEen. Today’s messages from “Strength for Women Daily” is confirmation for me to boldly walk in my confidence in all that I do and “Be Sure” as the title states. The passage says, “Being confident isn't the same as being prideful or arrogant. It is an inner peace and acceptance of who you are, and it is something that can't be shaken by external opinions or judgements.” As with the scripture from Psalm 4:3, “Know that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant for himself, the Lord hears when I call to him.”
Let us know who we are BEcause we are in Christ, and let us not just BE confident, but know we have GODfidence BEcause He is with us, guiding us, directing us, and hears us when we call upon Him to help us. He will never leave us nor forsake us, and always works everything for our good when we trust in Him and His ways.
Mark 12
“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these’” (Mark 12:30-31).
Reflection from Sacred Search
Today’s message by Gary Thomas is titled “A Gorgeous Mistake”. With a focus on men (but as women we can, too, can REceive a message), the writer says, “We like to look, particularly at gorgeous women.… and the Bible concedes this, telling young men in Proverbs 31 not to be led astray by a woman’s beauty or charm, because both of these fade. God knows that we are enthralled with physical beauty.“ He goes further saying, “…but when choosing a wife, we also have to be careful about putting more weight on things that last. In case you’ve never thought about it, a woman’s body changes much more rapidly than her character does. That’s why, when choosing a wife, you want to find a woman who is seeking first God’s kingdom now. You want to find a woman who is seeking righteousness now. If she isn’t a mission-based woman while you date, what will make her a mission-based woman after the wedding?“ When a woman is focused on God which is love, that’s all she knows and will give off. As with the last scripture highlighted, she will love her mate as herself, always putting God first and loving and caring for him the way God desires. May you men find and may we women BE that Proverbs women spoken of by Thee.
