Daily Devotional for April 18, 2021
Since Christ suffered and underwent pain, you must have the same attitude he did; you must be ready to suffer, too. 1 Peter 4:1 TLB
Joel Osteen’s devotional this morning is about adversity, but the most powerful message comes from the accompanying scripture. 1 Peter 4:1 REminds us, “Since Christ suffered and underwent pain, you must have the same attitude he did; you must be ready to suffer, too.” Now that’s a perspective to embrace, but we know like Christ, we will “rise again again”; challenges won’t keep us down, for He won’t put more on us than we can bear. JOY will come in the mo(u)rning, there will BE glory, there will BE honor, for trouble won’t last always, and there are blessings in the storms.
Luke 6
As we persevere through life and encounter those who come against us, we are encouraged to “love your enemies, do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked” (Luke 6:35 NRSV). But just as importantly, “‘Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back’” (Luke 6:37-38 NRSV).
REflection from 21- Day Plan for Busy Women: A Rich and Satisfying Life
The message from “21-Day Plan for Busy Women: A Rich and Satisfying Life” assures us that our Father will never forsaken his steadfast love and his faithfulness towards us, and will never lead us astray, as found in Genesis 24:27.
Proverbs 16:24
May we share in the sweetness found in Christ’s ways and words as we interact each day with others, feeding goodness to ourselves and in our giving to others through words and deeds.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Share in the sweetness of the Savior this Sunday, my friend.
