May our words and actions be guided by our spirituality as we go about each day and each deed

Everyday Spirituality

AA founder, Bill Wilson is quoted as saying, “We must find some spiritual basis for living, else we die.” This is what sets the tone for today’s message from Kundtz. Because spirituality can be broadly defined, Kundtz writes, “Spirituality is the ultimate meanings and values by which we live our lives, both on the peaks and in the vales.” He goes on to say, “The other point to remember about spirituality is that we all are spiritual whether or not we are religious or call ourselves spiritual, whether atheist or believer. We all have values and meanings by which we live our lives, in the valleys and on the peaks, whether they are examined or ignored.” Each day let us ensure in all that we do, our values are being lived out to the fullest, and as mentioned also in the text today by the Dalai Lama, “Whether you believe in God or not does not matter so much... You must lead a good life. And a good life does not mean just good food, good clothes, good shelter. These are not sufficient. A good motivation is what is needed: compassion without dogmatism, without complicated philosophy; just understanding that others are human brothers and sisters and respecting their rights and human dignity." Lead these ways be the ways that we lead our lives each day and giving ourselves grace when we may fall short, knowing we can get back up again.

2 Corinthians 3:17 says, “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”

Know that our most spiritual space is found when we walk with Christ, for He frees us and provides us with all we need to walk in truth, with values and help others with our words and deeds.

Small Straws Scripture: 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.

No matter what we may go through or what may come at us, there is a greater force that assures we are not consumed and endure until victory is won.

Youversion Verse of the Day: James 1:19

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.

Let us respond and not react, listening to hear and be careful of the words we speak, for those words one day we may have to eat.

May our words and actions be guided by our spirituality as we go about each day and each deed, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
