May rest and restoration be upon us to continue to live and reflect God’s love and guidance upon us for others to experience

Self Examination

Today’s devotional says, “God often speaks to us in the stillness and silent spaces. How will we hear Him if we're never still?” It then goes on to say, “Taking time to reflect, to think, and to examine oneself is a necessary step in moving toward intimacy with God.” As we begin a new work week, scheduling meetings and activities, let us be sure to also intentionally carve out time for ourselves to sit in quiet contemplation, to spend time in God’s Word, working to hear what He is bringing to our reflection and His direction for our lives.

Lamentations 3:40 reads, “Let us test and examine our ways, and return to the Lord!” In the same way we think about others, let us turn inwards to assess our thoughts, actions, and deeds, asking ourselves if God is pleased.

Small Straws Scripture: Matthew 11:28-30 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.

In order to do our best we must seek to incorporate rest. That allows us to hear our Father and work to do what He desires us to do.

Youversion Verse of the Day:Isaiah 60:1

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

Let us rest to hear and be restored, and then let us rise and be the light for others to see Him in you and me.

May rest and restoration be upon us to continue to live and reflect God’s love and guidance upon us for others to experience, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
