May we all listen, love, and work in ways that are pleasing to our Father
Let’s Talk
Kundtz quotes American author and philosopher, Robert Pirsig, this morning who said, “We're in such a hurry most of the time, we never get much of a chance to talk.” We are in a world where technology has shifted the pace of everything in life. From food to video chats, to artificial intelligence, so much can be done so quickly, we many times work to do more than we should. Because of this, many times our heads are literally down, focused on the next thing, and we barely stop to engage, even in our homes with loved ones. We are encouraged by the writer today, to be intentional about having conversations. He says, “By spending time to talk with those we care about, we are both the givers and the beneficiaries of the gift of presence.” Let us work to stay present and be the presence someone else may need as we navigate along life’s journey.
James 1:19 encourages each of us, “You must understand this, my beloved: let everyone be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger.” Let us be hearers of God and also His ears for others in need of being heard in our personal and professional lives.
Small Straws Scripture: Proverbs 10:4-5
He who has a slack hand becomes poor, but the hand of the diligent makes rich. He who gathers in summer is a wise son; he who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame. With hard work comes a heavy reward. Let us not grow idle with the gifts and talents that have been bestowed upon us.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Philippians 1:9-10
And this is my prayer, that your love may overflow more and more with knowledge and full insight to help you to determine what is best, so that in the day of Christ you may be pure and blameless,
With each passing day and with every opportunity may love continue to abound and impact the lives of those we encounter.
May we all listen, love, and work in ways that are pleasing to our Father, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
