May we be led by humility and gentleness this day

“If we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we also know that we have obtained the requests we ask of him.” 1 John 5:15

1 John 5:15 says, “If we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we also know that we have obtained the requests we ask of him.” We are reminded this morning through today’s devotional title, “He Hears”. The authors today encourages us as written, “Sometimes it can feel as if God is far away… But he is a God who loves his children. He wants us to be happy, to feel fulfilled.… Though he may not answer you in the way you expect, he is right there beside you, ready to lend an ear.“ May we always hold tight to the fact that He loves us and hears us. That means He knows what’s best for us, and we can trust that He will provide in His timing our desires or even what we cannot even imagine.

Reflection from 7 Days of Finding Peace

This 6th day of “7 Days of Finding Rest” we receive a message that “Jesus’s gentleness lifts you up.” We read this morning that “Humility is the soul’s true beauty. Humility and gentleness don’t make grand entrances. They make it possible to find rest...unlike anger and pride, which are wearisome to the soul…. Today, with gentleness, He lifts you up and restores you. The chastisement for your peace was upon Him.” Focus on humility and gentleness found in Him this day so He may use them to restore you in His own way.

Matthew 6:10

May we experience what You have for us on earth as a taste of what is to come in eternal life with You.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
