May we feel what we need to feel, for our feelings and struggles are real, yet let us know that our God will provide comfort and everything we need to heal
I’m Afraid
Kundtz writes this morning, “If there is any idea that is common to all systems of wisdom, religion, and philosophy, it is the truth that the greatest challenge of one's life is oneself.” He also says, “…the first feeling we are likely to experience is fear… and to move out of our fears by first moving into them.” Many times we internalize our fears due to our egos or shame. However, even with fear, we don’t have to experience it alone. We must always work to release in some capacity our feelings. In the same way we are comfortable with sharing joy and happiness, we need to confess our fears. Kundtz shares, “Moving into them [fears] involves three simple processes: noticing, naming, and narrating. Your fears will gradually diminish and lose their power over you as you learn these three processes. First notice, or note, your fears and take them into account; then name your fears; and then narrate, or tell your story of these fears to someone else, to the world.” Before reading this I took note of anxiety I have been having for a few days, and I realized I was internalizing a fear. I shared this fear with my mother this morning, and within seconds the anxiety and fear was relieved, from her simple response of support. Let us know we do not have to fear or suffer alone. In the same manner others celebrate with us, they will help us through difficult situations.
Isaiah 41:10 reads, “Do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.”
Let us know that our Father will provide the means and/or people to help us to and through any situation, we only must walk vulnerably in faith.
Small Straws Scripture: Psalm 131:2 Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me.
May we always rely on God’s provision and care, knowing He is always comforting and protection in every situation and everywhere.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Romans 8:18
I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory about to be revealed to us.
We will suffer and encounter difficulties, but they will not last always, and we can rest assured that God will bring us out and even better as a result.
May we feel what we need to feel, for our feelings and struggles are real, yet let us know that our God will provide comfort and everything we need to heal, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
