May we know our limitations as we life a fulfilled life with Christ
Folly
Desiderius Erasmus, a Dutch scholar and philosopher, said “The highest form of bliss is living with a certain degree of folly.” Kundtz follows this quote in today’s message with the response, “Note the meaning of his words: Bliss denotes ecstasy, spiritual joy; folly is defined as a lack of good sense, an action having a ruinous outcome. We don't generally associate one with the other.” In this life it is important to work towards having some balance. We can become so serious sometimes because of life and its responsibilities that we fail to enjoy life. There is a saying that opposites attract. Work to indulge in things that may not make sense for some when they see you in action. Learn to let go and be free in life; be serious about your purpose, yet be careful free enough to live in the moment and walk on the wild side being adventurous from time to time.
Galatians 5:22-23 reminds us, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” May we work to always love first, and also do what brings us joy and all those other things described. That’s the life our Father desires for us.
FMBC Weekly: Philippians 2:5-11
Have the mindfulness to give glory to God for our sacrifice in Christ Jesus.
“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Our Father humbled himself and sacrificed for you and me. Therefore, let us always do the same in reverence recognizing at every opportunity that He is Lord, the greatest of all, and the highest of all.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Let us remember we can do all things through Christ, but we cannot do all things.
May we know our limitations as we life a fulfilled life with Christ, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
