Remember that we are chosen, not a choice

Missing Our Lives

Storyteller, Ed Mays, is quoted with this morning’s message. “When we lack the proper time for the simple pleasures of life... then we have missed the purpose of life.” Kundtz asks us, “Consider what ‘missing your life’ might mean for you. What will you most deeply regret having not been, or accomplished? How can you begin to live so that you will be present to what is most important to you?” Many times people begin to live for others and not themselves, losing those childhood dreams and entrepreneurial endeavors or God given talents placed on the shelves. We all must work to live in the moment with no regrets, working to fulfill our most inner desires and live.

Joshua 24:14-15 reads, “Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” God has placed so much in us. Let us not allow this world to make us feel pressured into living and doing what goes against what God has instilled in us and is leading us to do and be.

FMBC Weekly Reading: Hebrews 9:23-28

Christ’s sacrifice removes the sins of all believers.

“It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; for then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”

‭‭Our Father gave the ultimate sacrifice so we might live, therefore let us live out and do what He calls us to do and be, bringing reverence, honor, and respect to Him.

Youversion Verse of the Day: Galatians 5:13

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

A calling has been placed upon our lives to do for others, love others, and show others to Christ through our actions, deeds, and experiences.

Remember that we are chosen, not a choice, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
