Grinding Halts Are Good For You
This morning Kundtz explains to us the importance of grinding halts and gives varying examples that people have chosen. He says, “The need for Grinding Halts indicates that something big is going on. They are often needed… to avoid some undesired result…. If we do not have a way to retreat or to get away for a while in order to allow some as-yet-unavailable idea or power to present itself, the only possibilities seem to be waging war or death…. Grinding Halts give us the productive time to arrive at a healthy alternative.” Grinding halts make me think of a car, whether luxury, SUVs, sedans, pickup trucks, hatchbacks, coupes, and convertibles, they all have indicator lights that come on when something needs attention. The next step is usually dropping the car off to the mechanic, even if for a few hours. What are your body’s indicators letting you know that a service is needed or long overdue. As long as the signal(s) is ignored, the worse or longer time may be needed for repair. Let’s stop ignoring what we need and take time as necessary to be.
Mark 6:30-31 reads, “The apostles gathered around Jesus, and told him all that they had done and taught. He said to them, ‘Come away to a deserted place all by yourselves and rest a while.’ For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat.”
Let us not be overwhelmed with the work of the world, but retreat to be and hear from God the work He desires us to do in the world.
Small Straw Scripture: Matthew 6:14
For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Let us always know that forgiveness is for us and not the other person. Allow all that keeps you from the fruit of the Spirit to be released so you can be at peace.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.
Let us reverence the Lord knowing that all we need and all we desire to understand comes from our relationship with Thee.
May we take time to rest, seek forgiveness and also guidance for our journey ahead, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
