Daily Devotional for October 21, 2020

Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.‭‭ (Ephesians‬ ‭6:13‬)

I’ve heard Joel Osteen say this in his sermons but it hit a little different REading it this morning: “When you do the natural, God will do the supernatural.” REmember my brothers and sisters, faith without works is dead! You must first have faith and BElieve in yourself, and you have to work towards fruition. When you encounter people and things that BEcome obstacles,(BEcause the enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy—most times in the form of man, whether family, friends, or foe, because your dream is not their dream and they don’t have or can’t see or understand your dream), He can move the most minuscule things or the mountains. Osteen said it best, “You are equipped...empowered...fully loaded...lacking nothing...don’t settle...”.

Malachi 4

Let us BE careful of what we think, say, and do as we continue along this glorious adventure for the judgment day will come. Those of us who fear the name of the Lord will rise with healing...and go free, leaping with joy...and will tread upon the wicked as if they were dust under our feet. (Malachi‬ ‭4:2-3‬). So let us not place our energy upon those people and things that come up against us. Let us REmain forward, focused, and following in faith (and not fear) and favor towards what God has put in us to do.

Julia Jeffress Sadler’s last devotional for this series is entitled, “The Extraordinary Power of Praying God’s Word”. That title is powerful all within itself. We pray but we must understand that our prayers must BE in alignment with God and His will for our lives, and not just our own motives of wanting what we want. God gives us what we need. As Sadler REminds us, there is a perfect combination with praying. Let us take James 4:2-3, you have not because you ask not, with Ephesians 3:20, He can do exceedingly abundantly more, and watch God blow our minds. But we must activate our faith and get on one accord with Him, studying our scripture daily and intimately for alignment and activation of His will for our lives. There is power in prayer, and as Sadler highlights, “This power is your destiny waiting to be claimed“. Seek the Lord to claim your fame and get your inheritance!

2 John 1:6

Let us walk in the shadow of our Father, emulating His love by following His word so that others may see and we may BE the example for others. For love drives out fear, hate, and darkness. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Wake and worship this Wednesday and each day of your life, my friend.
