No whining and no worrying works when you walk with the Father

“What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God.”James‬ ‭4‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭

This morning’s devotional brings to our attention “Temper Tantrums”, which are just as common in adults as they are in children. The message says they just look different. It says, “Children haven't learned to curb the screaming and stomping of frustration or anger, while adults have more restrained behavior. But the heart is the same, and the reactions stem from the same provocation. We want what we want but we don't have it, so we throw a tantrum.” Psalms 84:11 reminds us that “The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.“ Let us be mindful of our actions and reactions, remembering that our Father knows everything about us, and He knows and provides what is best for you and me.

Reflection from “Anxious About Money” by Youversion

Today we begin the series “Anxious About Money” and the discussion around “What is Financial Anxiety?” The writer begins, “Anxiety is defined as apprehensive uneasiness or nervousness usually over an impending or anticipated ill…. We might say that financial anxiety is when we are uneasy, nervous, fearful, or distressed about our finances.“ When we feel this way, we are encouraged to remember what is said in Philippians 4:6, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Moreover, 1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬ states, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” There is nothing that we should be concerned about when we place our faith in Christ. He cares and will take care of you and me.
